Kids Say The Darndest Things

My sister came down this week with her kids since they were on break and spent a few days with me. We were swimming with the kids and having a lot of fun especially since it was Parker's ( Katie and Steve's son) first experience in the pool. Everytime I think of this story it makes me smile. My nephew Jared who is 3 in a couple of months and who I share a birthday with was sitting on me in his tube as I swam around backwards and I said, "Look Jared I'm a fish" to which he promptly replied, "No, you a whale" with a huge grin on his face. He then pointed to himself and said " I a whale, you a whale". I started laughing and told my sister that he hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what I feel like right now...it was just funny coming from my innocent nephew who probably had no idea what he was saying. I love this age with kids because they come up with the funniest things to say.

We are going to Bullhead this weekend to see my youngest brother Jordan in his high school musical. He scored the lead role as a sophomore! Way to go! Can you all tell I am a proud older sister? We actually are excited to see it since he is acting opposite my Brother-in-laws niece. So it will be quite the family affair. Then back on Sunday so I can play for the ward choir practice and Rod can teach Sunday School. I am also coming up with an enrichment activity for June. We are doing cake decorating, but anyone have any ideas on a simple skill or project the sisters can learn? Let me know. P.S. Stay tuned for the sex of the new Davies addition. Rod and I find out on Monday!!

We are so excited to meet your sweet little girl! You should post about her. I told Zach we are still calling her Smitty, but now he is insisting I am mean and I should call her Emma! Kids-go figure.

My first blog experience

Halloween in AZ

This is the first picture I could find of us. Really it is Christmas now. Rod and I had fun planning this Halloween party. I even thought it would be a good time to make costumes ( I will think more about that next time).

Europe up till now

We spent a month this summer in Europe and it was so fun!! Then we packed up and moved from Bullhead City to Tempe, AZ. Roderick is enjoying his time finishing his Economics degree at ASU ( although finals stink). I am being a dental hygienist in Scottsdale, which is very fun! I love the people I work with and it keeps me busy. We are getting ready to head up to Utah next week for our Christmas break and can't wait. This blogging stuff is fun!
